OUTPATIENT SUBOXONE OPIOID DETOX PROGRAM Our program is individualized to consider your specific needs. Dr. Emad has a high success rate of opioid detoxification using Suboxone. Our program guarantees full confidentiality.  You will be evaluated in a private room.  We closely follow the HIPPA laws for your privacy and confidentiality. Dr. Emad’s compassionate care will assure comfort and ease with the process.  Educational material will be reviewed and discussed to assure full understanding of the different steps of the program.  Dr. Emad will be available to answer all of your questions prior to and after the Induction process.  You will be monitored closely under Dr. Emad’s supervision during the Induction Process. PRE-REQUESITES: Commitment to abstain from intake of any illegal substances. Enrollment in a psycho-social support program. A designated support person to assist the patient throughout the program including transportation and psychological support. Ability to afford the full program financially. Please refer to the following fee schedule: INITIAL CONSULTATION: You will be evaluated by Dr. Emad for appropriateness with the program.  A comprehensive history and physical examination including psychological screening will be performed.  Educational material will be dispensed and the steps of the program will be reviewed.  Urine Drug Testing will be performed. If you are found to be an appropriate candidate then Suboxone will be prescribed that day.  Please note that not all patients will qualify for the program.  You will be asked to fill the medication at a local pharmacy nearest you. Depending on each individual case, Dr. Emad will then decide on the following: Either you will be instructed to do the Induction Process at home, or you may be asked to return to the office on another day for the Induction Process to be performed at the office (See “In-House Induction” below).  Either way, you will return for an appointment, “Follow Up #1,” within 2 days. IN-HOUSE INDUCTION: You will return to the office before 9:00 a.m. bringing the Suboxone medication.  Transportation is required.  Dr. Emad will evaluate you, and the Induction Process begins under his close supervision in your private room.  Suboxone will be dispensed, and you will be monitored closely to assure ease with the process.  You will be discharged from the office before 3:00 p.m.  The discharge time depends on each individual, however most patients are discharged by 12:00 noon.   FOLLOW UP #1: You will return to the office for a Follow-Up Evaluation by Dr. Emad.  Suboxone will be renewed if indicated. FUTURE FOLLOW UPS: You will return to the office for a Follow-Up Evaluation by Dr. Emad.  Suboxone will be renewed if indicated. Please feel free to ask for information on SIMC, Inc. policies and procedures on controlled substance prescriptions.  Also contact Dr. Emad’s billing manager for financial counseling if needed.
